Mission: Shore Leave
Location: BBQ Gala
Timeline: End of the night

Laughing without a care in the world, maybe because she had one beer to many, it was nice to see Caressa having fun. After playing a game called corn hole. She decided to sit the chase lounge. Not a good idea. Thank god Vox was there.

Vox had his fair share of beers which was making him start to feel tingly. He let out a long, contented sigh. It was good to be on solid ground again. He forgot how nice Earth was until he returned. He walked into the lounge and took a seat opposite the Merc's chief doctor after grabbing a beer from the tap. "Nice place..."

"Yeah its not to bad. Nice ambiance. Great company now too! "
She smile sweetly. She was wearing a sage green sun dress, it fit the Texas weather. Her hair was down for once, draping over her shoulders. It was a different look for her, typically she wore her hair up for work. She raised her beer to him.

Vox playfully eyed her sideways as he took a big gulp of his beer and took a seat opposite her. "You look..."

Caressa looked at herself, did she spill BBQ down the front of her dress? "I look what?"

"...lovely," he finished. "That's a nice dress." He took another sip and let out a breath. "It will definitely capture the eyes of junior officers," he chuckled.

"Like that was the intention." She rolled her eyes. Taking another sip of her beer. She looked out across the rolling yard. Then looked back at Vox. "Where's Stacey?"

He offered a shrug and suggested, "Well, I could've said that your ass looks great in that dress and so do your legs, despite the long hem..." He took another sip of his cold beer and swallowed as he tried to figure out what to say. "Stacey is on Alpha Centauri. I don't think that I'll be seeing much of her in the future..."

She did a double take. "Vox, I am so sorry. Do you need to talk ? Then her mind stumbled. She thought to herself, he just said my ass looked good. She smiled " Thanks for the compliment." Looking at him, her mind went to other places. She shifted off the lounge chair the hem of her skirt inching up her milky white thigh. Do you want something stronger than beer? I am thinking tequila sounds real good right now? Looking down at him her hair tumbling down into her face, she pushed it behind her ear. "There is a full bar inside . I can get us some."

Vox suddenly realized that the beer would most likely sick if he kept drinking it before liquor. He gently set his glass down as he started to figure out that he shouldn't bring down such a great party among friends by talking about the mutual divorce. There would always be time for that later. He leaned back in his chair and offered her a smile. "Yeah, tequila sounds great. They should have the good stuff considering that they make the big bucks, right?" He offered her a smirk.

She swayed into the house to the bar. Looked around and finally found what she was looking for. "Yes, This is it! " She placed it on a tray with two shot glasses, limes and salt. She walked back out to the porch and placed the tray between the two of them. Broke the seal on the bottle and pulled out the cork. " Do you need training wheels?" Pointing to the salt and lime. She poured herself one. No training wheels. She smirked and then grinned with a tinge of evil.

Vox couldn't contain the laugh at her crap talking. "Don't worry... I'll be sure to put your hair behind your ear while you return it to sender." He eyed the cork pop on the intricate blue bottle. He pointed to the salt and lime. "What's that for, we having tacos?" He leaned back and draped one arm over the chair back as he watched her intently.

She gave him a smoldering look, as he leaned back in his chair. Did he really want to play this game with her. She left the Stacey subject alone. " Ok, lets see what you can handle!" She poured two generous shots. She walked over to him and leaned over, her hair tumbling again. "Here ya go" giving him the glass. Her fingers touched his and it sent an tingle to her senses. She pulled back. She picked up her glass and lifted it. "Here's to new adventures!"
As she leaned in close he could smell the sweet scent of the perfume she was wearing tonight. It added to her cascading hair as she handed him the shot glass. He bit his lower lip for a brief second as he raised his glass. "To the Merc!" He then downed the shot in one go, casually holding the glass out for her to refill it. "That's really smooth. I wonder where they obtained it... I hope they won't mind one bottle disappearing. I say one bottle because I don't want you to get too ahead of yourself."

Caressa smiled and downed her shot in one lift of her elbow. " I don't think that they will miss any. You should see how that bar is stocked." Tilting her head toward the inside bar. Picking up the bottle she poured them both another shot. " And it is really smooth, almost to smooth." The fuzzy feeling was starting and she really didn't mind. She sat beside him, catching the sent of him on the breeze, the tequila was making her warm, but that wasn't the only think heating her up. Looking over to him. " So what do we drink to this time?"

Vox took the liberty of pouring the shots this time. She was warm against his side, her hair mere inches from his fingers as he handed one to her. The tingly feeling was starting to hit him too. He knew he was starting to smile a bit more than usual. He thought for a moment as he exhaled, each intake reminding him of her scent. He licked his lips and said, "To new adventures. Oh wait, that was the first one." He laughed softly to himself and patted her leg faintly. "Nothing wrong with double the adventures, is there?" He locked eyes with hers, a sparkle of trouble found in his.

She released the bottle, letting him do the honors. Watching his hand touch her leg, she looked up the look he gave her was mesmerizing. It was like he could see her soul. " or double the trouble!" Lifting the glass to his, she paused. " To Us we deserve it" She moved closer to him, subtly ever closer.

Vox felt the heat from her pressing against him as he smiled. "You said it!" He downed the next shot and closed his eyes temporarily as the burn went down his throat. "I like that the good doctor knows how to have a good time." He locked eyes with hers. "How's the tequila, twinkle toes?"

Caressa downed her shot in cadence with Vox. The clear liquid with a peppery taste hitting her stomach with a warm rush. "its great! She let out a little snort. "Twinkle toes? that's kinda cute." She was loving every bit of attention, realizing that she had not been romanced in while. " Are you playing games with me sir?

Vox lets a grin curl his lips as he leaned in close to her and arched an eyebrow playfully. "Well, I like a good game do you?"

She leaned back in so close their lips almost touched "So do I" he could feel her breath as she spoke.

He could almost taste her lips as he licked his own very slowly as he brought those lips to her ear and whispered.. "How bad does this excite you?..."

As if he could feel the ever growing heat between her thighs, she whispered back in his ear. "Just as bad as it does you" touching his ear ever so lightly with her lips.

A shiver crossed through his body as he closed his eyes slowly. His heat mixed with hers as a hand slipped around her waist, a raspy breath escaping his lips as they brushed across the nape of her neck faintly before they formed the words... "Are you sure...?"

Her response was almost primal. Instantly her body arched to him. The ache he created in her was screaming "Yes" In a low almost growling whisper.

His fingertips pressed into the small of her back, pulling her into him as he tried to restrain the urge to force it fast. Her voice encouraged him to lightly graze his lips against her hot skin. "You're riling me up..."

"Oh, I am riled up." Feeling his body next to hers was driving her need "Do we want to move this fast? feeling his restraint, but wanting more.

His stomach made flips as a faint growl escaped his lips. His arms wrapped around her in an almost instinctual way as his eyes opened half way as he moaned. "I'm sorry... I should stop..."

She got lost in his need, wanting so much for the attention he was providing. Her arm's wrapped around his neck making the connection more sensual, her lips brushing by his neck and ear, she let out a little gasp at his touch " I know we should." her voice trailed off

His lips and teeth grazed her ear as his voice took on a longing quality as one of his hands rubbed the small of her back, the tips resting right at the curve, the fire inside him growing out of control. "Should... is such a strong word..."

She drew in a breath, taking in the musky sent of him, it was captivating her. She rested her head on his shoulder. Playing with the hair on the back of his neck, then taking her finger and tracing the outer ear lightly " humm what is a girl to do?"

"Mmmm... Indeed.." He whispers faintly in her ear. "I guess we really should stop?..."

Silently she nods, her breathing growing less heavy "Unfortunately we should, but its such a strong word." She smiled, tossing her hair a bit and securing her ear chain "Wow."

He swallowed hard as his mind attempted to bring himself back under control. A raspy breath escaped his mouth as he slowly pulled away from her, his arms slipping away. He blinked a few times as he realized that he hadn't felt anything like that in... a long time. "That's putting it mildly."

"Yeah" she looked around a bit, seeing if anyone saw the exchange. Not that she cared "So?"

He sat back in his chair and exhaled slowly. "So... yeah." He blinked a few times as his heart rate came back down to normal from super speed.

"I have had a completely wonderful, evening." she lightly kissed him on the cheek.

He offered her a genuine smile as he nodded in agreement. His lips still sensed her faint touch of skin as he cleared his his throat. "Its been fantastic so far."

She stood "As much as I don't want to end the evening it is getting late. " adjusting her sundress, the evening was a bit chilly, goosebumps formed on her skin. She rubbed her arms to generate some heat. " I didn't realize it was this cold. Must have been the tequila and the company" She smiled.

He smiled back at her. There was definitely a hidden chemistry between them that he hadn't known about. He let out a contented sigh and returned her smile. "It's okay. You can admit that you can't hang when drinking..." He gave her a playful wink and took the opportunity to rise out of his seat and saunter off.
