Mission: Side Stories
Location: Henry and Edras Quarters

Caressa had scheduled a meeting with Henry and Edra. She felt it was time to apologize for her outburst at the party and her overall dark attitude of late. It wasn't something she wanted to do but felt like she needed too so that everyone could move on. She adjusted her uniform top and rang the door chime.

He heard the chime from his office. Before he could even get up "I got it" rang through the quarters.

Karina approched the door and hit the release. She was wearing her new transparent visor. The onboard ship was giving them to the students this term to act as hands-free instructional devices. No more PADDs to type on. Now you could make mental notes which were saved as electronic devices. He wasn't sure he liked it too much. Kind of creeped him out when he could see her straring but knew she wasn't looking at him, instead whatever she was studying on the other side of the transparent materials. Plus PADDs were good enough when he was in school. "Hi Doctor."

"Hello young lady" she stared at the visor and shook her head. "Your parents are expecting me, can you let them know I am here" she smiled at Karina.

"Sure." Karina moved to the side to allow her to enter. "Dad's in his office, mom went to pick up Marcus but she'll be back anytime." The girl went to the office, poking her head in the door. "You have company."

He looked over his shoulder. "Than...take that silly thing off. Read a book."

"I am....two at once actually."

He grumbled, standing and walking out into the living area. "Evening."

Caressa actually could not keep from smirking. " Good Evening Henry, looks like you have a book worm on your hands." She took a seat.

"If I let her she'd intern down in Engineering in her spare time. The definition of too smart for her own good. So what's up?"

"Well I was hoping that Edra would be here also."

As if being summoned, the door to their quarters opened, and Edra entered, following Marcus, who toddled in. As soon as he caught sight of his father, his face lit up and he changed course. "Da!"

"Hey there big boy." He scooped up the toddler with ease. Part of him wondered how much longer he'd be able to do that at the rate the boy was growing.

Edra smiled at Caressa. "Hello. I didn't expect to see you here."

"Sorry for intruding I just wanted to clear things up. Mainly I wanted to apologize for my outburst at the BBQ, I also wanted to let you know that I am sorry for the dark attitude I have had over the past couple years. Sorry for making your lives miserable just because I was. I promise to be more of a team player. " It felt good for her to finally get that out in the open. She was a bit anxious.

"Its unnecessary to do that but I know I appreciate it and I'm sorry too for anything I did to make the situation worse."

Edra nodded in agreement with Henry's remark.

"I know but it was a bad situation for everyone. I wonder how we all managed without ending up in an insane asylum. Dead, alive, married, not married. Its enough to drive Sigmund Freud to the loony bin." She rolled her eyes.

"That's no lie. But the point is from here on out it's better. That's good for everyone but especially the kids."

She watched the kids as they ran around. "Speaking of kids, I have chosen to leave Galena and Gavin on earth. Uncle Mikos will continue to take care of them. I could not stand the thought of them being hurt or something unspeakable if we get into trouble."

He nodded slightly. "I wish they were here but I understand why."

"If anything ever changes your mind," Edra suggested, "we can always send for them. Just say the word."

"Thanks I appreciate it a lot." She rose from the chair. " I better let you guys get to your dinner. I still have some reorganizing to complete in Sick Bay. Oh and by the way did you have to pick someone so obnoxious for the EMH? " glaring at Henry.

Edra grinned as she shifted her gaze to her husband. "See, I told you she wouldn't like that one."

"With all the choices and you pick that one. Why not someone good looking and sexy? But no, you had to pick a old fart." she just smiled with sarcasm.

"He came very highly reviewed."

"He has the bedside personality of a wet mop." She grinned. "Its OK, maybe I will tweek his program a bit."

"Maybe you could get Vox to help you." Edra suggested, trying her best to hide her smile.

She spun her head around. " I have no clue as to what you are talking about. " She was trying hard not to smile.

He looked between the two women. "If you'll both excuse me I have a child to lecture on the evils of modern technology." He grinned, leaving them to check on Karina."

Edra watched him leave the room, taking his clone with him. "Have you noticed he gets uncomfortable when we're together?"

"You did not mention the whole sister wife thing did you?" as she grinned evilly.

Edra's face formed a grin of her own. "Not yet..." After a few moments she looked at the other woman, more serious. "So, we're all good?"

"Yes, I think we are all good, You?" looking back at her.

Edra nodded. "Yes. Thank you for stopping by, and feel free to do so any time."

"I will thanks" With that Caressa stood and headed out the door.
