Location: VIP Quarters

"What in the Baq'sss hsst is a Falssonic Wave." one of the Wonan delegates asked. With aggravation clearly on their face, Gahs was almost ready for them to strike and claw him. Patricia Crow stood in the back shaking her head as Gahs and an engineer walked to a panel in the back of the room.

He spoke oddly as he walked toward the replicator.

"I understand that this isn't ideal, in fact there is a problem with the infant power relay under this replicator. We're afraid the mother wire died."

"Why are you speaking like that?" The annoyed delegate said.

"Oh, I am sorry," Gahs replied with his eyes locked on Patricia. I am not human. I am El-Aurian. We have a strange cadence when we speak. It's something that we had to hide. After our mothers sought asylum. Most humans are used to it. In fact, Miss Crow's Brother and sister have it down to a science in avoiding talking to me."

Gahs bent under the replicator. The engineer named Mroczka was already there. They spoke in Polish and made it look like they were working on a problem. Light sparks flew as Gahs pushed a hyperspanner toward the conduit. They nodded in unison.

"Well, that should do it." Gahs stood up and wiped his hands off his uniform pants. "Power to the replicators should be restored soon. As for the lights I don't think this distraction will take long. Sit tight."

"Sit tight, sit tight. I want to know why we're not allowed to speak to the Captain. NOW!" The Wonan delegate screamed.

"The Captain is a busy man. With everything going on and now this Falsonic Wave his hands are tied. Don't Worry. I will, however, let him know your issues."

Gahs and Mroczka stepped toward the exit and looked at Patricia, "all good?"

She nodded. Gahs could sense she understood everything he said. He grinned slightly and walked out the door.
