Anatomy of a Warrior

Edruj had done everything that was needed when arriving at a new assignment except for one thing, a new crew physical. She hated this for two reasons, the first was that it was mundane and redundant in her opinion, her records could just be sent over from her previous posting. The second was that to a Klingon a physical was never needed it was expected that you were always in top physical condition. Nevertheless it had to be done, so off to Sick Bay she went.

When she arrived she found the Doctor in her office. "Lieutenant Edruj reporting as ordered ma'am" the Klingon stood rigid in front of the open door to the office.

"Lieutenant, Please have a seat." ::pointing to the chair in front of her desk:: Smiling at the Lt.

Edruj sat down and smiled back at the doctor. Well when a Klingon smiled it looked more like a beast bearing it's fangs. Klingon women smiling was only slightly less unsettling. "I am new to the Mercutio and require a physical." she said.

"I see that Lieutenant. I have obtained your records from your last post. You look to be in top physical form." Caressa just smiled a bit. She knew how Klingons where, a proud people. She stood and went around her desk and motioned the Lieutenant to the main sick bay to the nearest bio-bed.

"I believe that I am as a Warrior should be. Although I will admit that since I have joined Starfleet I have gone a little soft." Edruj tugged at her teal science tunic for a moment. "Is this vessel and her Captain honorable? Deserving of praise from his crew?" Edruj liked to play a little joke whenever she first met people. it was something that she did since the Academy. She would take the Klingon up to eleven was the adage, her Klingon was normally at around a six.

"By all means, very honorable Lieutenant." smiling at Edruj. ::taking the tricorder and scanning the Lt.:: "I do not see you going soft Lieutenant. Its not your nature. Well, it looks like you are in top physical condition.!" ::Closing the tricorder with a snap::

"Thank you doctor I try my best." Edruj said with a bit of a sheepish grin. "As I am the newest member of this crew, what is it that bonds the crew most?"

She thought to herself for a quick moment. She wanted to say alcohol and sex, but that didn't seem appropriate. "Well I would say that the fact we really have each others back, right or wrong, and alcohol!" She smiled at Edruj. "Well Lieutenant, we are finished here. I hope that you find that this is now your new home. Welcome Aboard!"

"Thank you Doctor. And it seems that I will have to have more crates of blood wine delivered before we leave." Edruj smiled as she stood from the bio bed.
