Family Pancakes

Brielle scrambled around, trying to find everything. “Ossan! Finish your breakfast please?” The toddler was stacking and knocking over his mini pancakes, only eating his bacon. He pouted and nibbled on one of them. Razot had Aysel and was feeing her, all while walking around.

“Brie, calm down. I can get them to daycare. You are due on the bridge.” He walked over and kissed her cheek, handing her her uniform jacket.

She let out a heavy sigh. “I know, I know.” Taking the uniform jacket, she slipped it on and kissed Aysel on the forehead before giving Razot a kiss. “You know, I think coffee is in order today.” Going over to the replicator, Brie could hear Razot whispering something to Ossan. She grinned as the replicator made her a large coffee, exactly to her liking.

Turning back with her coffee in a travel mug so she could take it to the bridge, she went back over to her family, stealing one of the mini pancakes from the premodern stack on the kitchen counter.

Her eyes turned back to her husband. “Don’t know what I’d do without you.” She quickly kissed his cheek, “See you tonight?”

He nodded and she headed out to the bridge.

Brielle stifled a yawn as she relieved the tactical officer and slipped into her seat, sipping a rather large coffee. She still wasn't used to the normal shift after having been on maternity leave. Granted, she'd been back on duty for a while, but it still held true. Her eyes caught sight of Millie going to check on the captain and she smirked.
