Edra padded around their quiet quarters, a rarity with all the kids normally running around. Marcus was having a playdate with Kieran and Ossan, courtesy of Brie. They traded taking the boys, giving the others a break. The arrangement worked well, and sometimes they all even spent the time together, pooling the kids in one room, not that they were old enough to not need to be in continuous eye contact.

The girls had gone to get their hair cut and styled, and insisted on going by themselves. Her girls being teenagers caused her to reflect on the past. When they were younger, when they were babies. Her time in the other reality, and the events that followed her return. There were times when she didn't want to remember that part of her past, but they were so intertwined with the good things that she couldn't separate the two.

Then her mind took her further back, before the kids. Before the gold band on her finger, to a bouquet of blue flowers standing in her doorway. The memory of Henry introducing himself to her brought a smile to her face. In the time since then, neither of them had been perfect, but it always seemed they were perfect for each other.

She pushed off from looking out at the stars when she heard the door open, and turned to find the object of her thoughts standing there. "Hello," she said with a smile.
