| Personal History | Born and raised in the San Francisco area, Vex was one of the many kids who grew up seeing Starfleet ever present around the city. As most kids chased after officers to ask questions, Vex stayed indoors ingress in his books and in his writings. His parents tried to get him outside but to no avail, Vex found ways to hide away to read about the stories of old earth and lore from a time before. All through school he was good with his hands and tools. If a book wasn't in his hands there was something else he was fiddling with, a small trinket a watch, something was there to keep his hands busy. As he grew up he started working on various vehicles and machinery around his town and house. His father and mother encouraged him to pursue a career in engineering at Star Fleet. At the age of 17 he booked his way towards Star Fleet and left his home bound with no glance back. During his time in the academy the quiet bookworm worked his way through everything he could get his hands on. While not the top of his class he wasn't at the bottom either, keeping his head down and working got him where he needed to be. He took some gardening and some cartography classes as electives and made it a personal goal of his to learn more once he got settled into a ship. |
